Frank Zappa: Hot Rats (1969) Zappa's first album not credited to the Mothers of Invention, this was yet another from the legendary mad artist that divided fans. The cover featured a surreal infrared photo of Miss Christine (Christine Frka), a member of the groupie-group the GTOs, who had been signed to Zappa's label. The photo was by Andee Nathanson, the model's roommate at the time. Miss Christine also happened to be the girlfriend of another Zappa cohort: Alice Cooper. -- JH
