The Black Crowes: Amorica (1994) Among other things, the Black Crowes' third album will be remembered for its controversial cover featuring pubic hair. The image, taken by photographer James Baes, originally appeared in a 1976 U.S. Bicentennial issue of Hustler. Responding to public (or is that pubic?) complaints, the record company later put out an alternate cover that obscured the skin, showing only the flag-themed bikini cloth on a black background. -- DS
