Moby Grape: Moby Grape (1967) The rumor goes that drummer Don Stevenson was bored and annoyed by the photographer after a long day of shots and locations and indicated his displeasure with the simple hand gesture pointing to the washboard. After the offending digit was discovered by the band's label, Columbia, it was airbrushed out for subsequent pressings -- until the 1973 re-release on the UK's Edsel/Demon Records restored the photo to its original state. -- JMH
