The Best Photography o...

After three months of clicking and cruising, we have found exemplary Websites from ten very different photographers, each of whom is taking the medium into new areas and new levels of communication.

Brian Finke focuses on America's subcultures -- from cheerleaders (for his book 2-4-6-8) to his recent project on flight attendants. Finke's key self-promotion outlet -- the Internet -- is a subculture itself. "The Web is my main communication tool," he says. Designed by his wife, Lisa Daniels, Finke's site is uncluttered, with a smooth point-and-roll interface, and patterned after his own Web-surfing habits. "If I'm looking for a stylist or anyone I need to hire," Finke says, "I want to see their work immediately." -- krissa corbett cavouras
