Part Three: Fix Color & Contrast

Step 3

White Balance: When you like the exposure and contrast, tweak the color. This image, taken near sunset, would look better with a warmer tone. Moving the Temperature slider left will cool it down and make it bluer; moving it right will make it yellower. Sliding the relative temperature rightward to around 6050 is much better. And since the overall image is a little too magenta, move the Tint slider left to -9 to counteract it with some green. These two sliders are fun to play with until you have a picture that looks the way you want it.

Step 4

Saturation: (Not shown.) If you're a color saturator, now's the time. This image is saturated enough as it is, but photographers who are fond of brighter, stronger colors can cautiously move the slider toward the right.
