Due to this candid look into the live's of others, it tops the list as one of our favorite forms of photography. So when we found out about the 2011 London Street Photography competition, we were excited to pass the info on to you.

CES 2011: Olympus Announces XZ-1 Compact Camera

High-end features packed into a small body seems to be the name of the game.

Las vegas- In addition to the E-PL2, Olympus also announced the production of a high-end compact camera in the form of the 10MP Olympus XZ-1. Likely meant to go head to head with the likes of Panasonic’s LX5, Canon’s G12 and Nikon’s P7000, the XZ-1 features similar high-end specs packed into a tiny body.

Las Vegas- Meet the Olympus E-PL2, the fourth generation of PEN camera in Olympus’ line of micro four-thirds bodies. While no groundbreaking updates have been made to the E-PL1’s replacement, that is not necessarily a bad thing. However the changes that were made are small but welcomed, like a much higher-res LCD, a larger grip, a silent-focus lens (that comes bundled with the camera) and a bump in ISO range.

The Canon A3300 IS will be available in February for $179.99 and is the priciest of the bunch.Las Vegas- The word of the day for Canon is: Budget. No flashy new DSLR’s to show off at this year’s CES trade show, just a few stripped down compacts that feature basic controls, HD video capture (except on the A800) and art filters galore. The A-series of cameras (as they are appropriately being called) include the Powershot A3300 IS, A2200, A1200 and A800.

It captures super slo-mo video (which has long been one of Casio's calling cards), 10mp photo capture while recording full HD video and shares the .37 between-shot delay of its big brother, the EX-ZR10 (originally announced at Photokina 2010).

Las Vegas- Samsung’s newest compact, the 14.2MP SH100, is essentially the brainchild of a company that has combined years of knowledge in the cellphone market, with its experience as a digital camera company. The result? A (nearly) fully social media-integrated “smart-camera.” Bringing whole new meaning to the idea of instantaneous photo and video-sharing, the SH100 offers seamless Wi-Fi integration for PC users—thanks to built-in 802.11n wireless—as well smartphone integration for certain Android phone-users.

Corinne May Boltz’s “Haunted Houses” series began more as road-trip photography than a ghost hunt. “I’ve always been interested in domestic interiors, and the connections that people have with their homes,” she says. “Photographing homes with ghosts seemed a unique way to explore that interest.”
