Canon's PowerShot S90 had a lot going for it when it was announced a few years ago. The S95 came a year later, bringing with it only minor updates, including HD video and a new body coating, which made it easier to hold. But now the S100 is upon us. In the fourth offical update on the situation in Thailand, Nikon has declared that everything should be back to normal by March of next year. The recent announcement of a new flash was definitely a good sign, and this shows that things are improving, however slowly. By Nikon's own account, the factory has been completely pumped clean of water, and now they're focusing on restoring the infrastructure.

The kit is specifically designed with the iPhone in mind, but will work with any device that has a lens less than 65mm in diameter.

Nikon announced the newest iteration of its flagship speedlight today, in the form of the Nikon SB-910. While it’s physical flash output and specs haven’t change much, compared to its predecessor, the SB-900, the biggest updates come in the form of increased durability and an improved user-interface.

Ricoh Planning 16MP APS-C 24-85mm GXR Unit

A new Ricoh GXR unit should land next year, and bring a large APS-C sensor to the modular camera.

Ricoh's Japanese site has supplied the barest bones of information about the next sensor/lens combo for the modular GXR. Set to launch in Japan in early 2012, it has a large APS-C sensor, will shoot 16-megapixel stills, and have a 24-85mm equivalent lens. This is the first APS-C sensor unit for the camera that has a zoom lens, though there were two primes previously released, a 28mm and 50mm.
