 One of the most frustrating parts of buying a new camera just as it becomes available is that Photoshop and Lightroom lack support for the RAW files until the new version comes out. But, the latest version of Lightroom and Camera Raw are almost ready for public consumption, which is why they've been deemed "release candidates." That means Adobe has tested them thoroughly, but they want a little feedback from the community before they make the release official.

Bullet time is the effect achieved when a subject is surrounded (or at least partially surrounded) by cameras that are all fired at the same time. You might know it as the Matrix effect. Some creative surf videographers achieved a similar effect using a custom rig fitted with 30 GoPro helmet cameras. The results are, well, rad.

If you preferred the look of Panasonic's old Lumix GF1 interchangeable-lens compact over the rounded look of the Lumix GF3, then the GX1 will probably be a sight for sore eyes. The newest addition to the G series of Micro Four Thirds cameras from Panasonic is built around a 16.01-megapixel Live MOS sensor and the Venus image processing engine.

Canon went all out for the Hollywood announcement of their new 35mm Cinema camera, the C300. There are two models, one of which will use the standard Canon EF mount and one which will use the PL mount common in other cinema cameras.
